Vacation

For the past few months, I’ve been trying to plan things so that my transition to DAL will be a smooth and easy one. One of the things I planned for is a little vacation for myself since I’ve spent the past five-plus years as a student and generally busy. So, I graduated on December 19 and I don’t start work until January 19. That means I have a month to do whatever I want.

Basically, I’m going to hang out here in G-ville for a few days and then go spend some time in J-ville for Christmas. Then, I’m headed to ATL for Christmas Conference with Campus Crusade for Christ (this’ll be my sixth such conference). That ends on January 1st and then everything gets a little fuzzy. I figure I’ll leave for DAL somewhere around the 10th, so I have enough time to drive out there (probably three days since Raytheon’s payin’ for everything on the way out and why should I rush it), get settled in my apartment and get comfortable in DAL again.

So, that leaves about a week between Conference and roadtrip that I have to fill. I’ll spend most of it here in Gainesville, tying up loose ends, seeing friends and trying to ease myself out of the college life and into the grind. Really, I’m just hoping to get as much time in with my friends and family as possible before I head to the other side of the country. I know I’m gonna’ miss it here, I just won’t know how much till I’m gone.
