Kids Today on FTP server
Well, I finally got a chance to record the song I’ve been working on for a few days now. I don’t really even know what I think about it. It ended up sounding quite a bit different in the actual recording than it did when I was writing it. For one thing, my voice sounds like my “old voice” as a friend put it–it’s more “throaty” and less clean sounding. I’m not sure if that’s a good thing or a bad thing, it just is. Also, my little impromptu jam just before the last section was probably a bad idea, simply because I was under the pressure of trying to get the recording done well and I shouldn’t have distracted myself with trying to improvise right in the middle of a song. I think that about half way through the song, I convinced myself it was getting monotonous and I needed to break it up a bit. And break it up I did. Ultimately, I think I’m alright with it as it sounds different than anything else I’ve recorded (at least to me it does) and I like the fact that it’s about society rather than myself or whatever.
Feedback is welcome, particularly in the form of constructive criticism.
